Locksmith in PeruRekeying for
homes and businesses in Peru
Rekeying keeps the lock you already own and changes which key opens it, which makes it the tidy answer to a lost key, a departed roommate or a staff change. Across Peru we rekey single doors, whole houses and small commercial buildings, and cut the new keys on the spot.

Ask us out to your rental in Peru
Landlords and property managers in Peru get a partner who understands turnover. We rekey between tenants, keep the unit keys under one master so you carry a single ring, fit hardware that survives heavy use, and note what was done on each door. When a tenant loses a key at an awkward hour, we already know the building.

Shop rules
One key, every door, no fuss.
- A straight assessment. If the lock is fine and the door just needs adjusting, we say so. If it has reached the end of its life, we say that too, and show you why.
- Options laid out side by side. Repair, rekey, replace or upgrade, with what each involves and what it changes. You pick; we do not steer you toward the biggest job.
- Finished, not nearly finished. Every key tested in every lock, every screw tight, every strike aligned, and the packaging in our van rather than your bin.
- Open 24/7, same fees any hour. Send a photo of the lock.

How a visit goes
A smart lock is a good idea on the right door and a headache on the wrong one. Before recommending anything we look at how the door hangs, whether the deadbolt already throws freely, how thick the slab is and where the signal has to reach.

Step 1 of 5
Call and describe the door
Describe the property, the hardware and what has changed, and the visit starts from what you have seen.

Step 2 of 5
On our way
We sit down with whoever manages the building and list the doors, the people and the hours. A stockroom key and a front door key are rarely the same conversation.

Step 3 of 5
A straight assessment
If the lock is fine and the door just needs adjusting, we say so. If it has reached the end of its life, we say that too, and show you why.

Step 4 of 5
Options laid out side by side
Repair, rekey, replace or upgrade, with what each involves and what it changes. You pick; we do not steer you toward the biggest job.

Step 5 of 5
Finished, not nearly finished
Every key tested in every lock, every screw tight, every strike aligned, and the packaging in our van rather than your bin.

2021 census: what it means at the door
Every square is one home in a hundred.
- 19 in 100 homes · newer homes
- 57 in 100 homes · mixed housing
- About 19% of homes in Milton were built in 1980 or earlier, according to the 2021 Census.Builders often key an entire street to a small number of keyways, which is convenient for them and less so for owners afterwards. In newer areas a locksmith can move a household onto a keyway that is genuinely its own.
- Single-detached houses make up about 57% of homes in Milton (2021 Census). In areas of mixed housing, landlords may own a house here and a few units there. A locksmith can put all of it under one master system so the owner carries one key while each tenant's key opens only their own door.

Questions we hear most
Last night the door would not lock either. Is that the same problem?
Sometimes, though a deadlatch that will not catch at closing and a bolt that refuses to withdraw at opening are different mechanisms, not automatically the same fault. A door dropped on its pivots or a cam slipped behind the cylinder can affect either one; a closer stopping short of the strike explains a latch that will not catch but not a bolt that will not retract. The locksmith checks each symptom on its own during the visit and tests the door closing under its own weight before leaving.
My key is worn. Would a new copy have prevented this?
Possibly, if the key was part of the cause. A worn or bent key lifts the pins short of the shear line, so the plug binds even in a healthy cylinder, and a copy made from that key repeats the wear. A key cut from the code or from a crisp original is the fix. If the lock was also gritty or the door had moved, the new key would have eased things without settling them, which is why the locksmith checks all three.
What if my safe is bolted to the floor or built into a wall?
The opening and combination work proceed the same way regardless of how the safe is mounted; access to the lock face, dial or keypad is what matters, not whether the case itself can be moved. A built-in or bolted safe simply means the locksmith works around its fixed position rather than moving it to a more convenient spot.
How long should we set aside for a commercial rekey?
It depends on the count and the mix. A shop with a front door, a back door and a stockroom is a short visit; an office suite with a dozen lever sets, a master key plan and a mailbox takes a good part of a day. Interchangeable cores are the shortest of all, since they are swapped rather than repinned on site. The locksmith gives a time estimate at the assessment, once every cylinder has been counted.
